Our team have all worked in Higher Education – we have two Principal Fellows of Advance HE (PFHEA) and two National Teaching Fellows. We have been leaders, managers, recruiters, heads of teams and have significant (decades of) experience of working in Higher Education. We apply out knowledge and experiences across all our services.
PERMANENT STAFF
We lead the search, long-listing, shortlisting, applicant preparation. Following client interview, we lead post-interview referencing and negotiations for a new member of staff to be employed by you (PAYE).
FIXED TERM STAFF
We lead the search for individuals to deliver fixed-term contracts within your team. Using our network and database, we aim to have a shortlist within 3-5 days. A range of hiring methods depending upon your requirements.
FLEXIBLE STAFFING
Sometimes known as ‘temp staff’ Candidates are employed by us and placed within your institution – we manage everything. This is the quickest way to recruit and get people started within your institution.
Academic Practice
Part of Transform-ED, our team comprises experienced and published academics. We can help you recruit heads of department/unit, specialist academic roles, programme leaders, online educators, academic developers and many others.

We really know Higher Education
We know Higher Education and have done what you are doing. One of our founders has over 20 years’ experience working in Higher Education – all of our academic team have worked in the HE sector spanning multiple capacities. Knowing how universities and colleges work and understanding the language, acronyms, roles and requirements means we can have experienced-based conversations with you.
We don’t do bulk recruitment
Instead, we take the required time to understand our clients and applicants whilst still delivering efficiently. This means that at the start of the process, we will hold an introductory conversation with the candidate to get to know them and check their experience and ambition aligns with your current requirement. We will also take the time to get to know you and understand what you are looking for from a candidate.
We invest the time and resources to help candiates prepare
Once you have confirmed the longlist we prepared for you, we will speak to each candidate again personally. We will offer shortlisted candidates a mock interview with one of our experienced educational team, and give them feedback to help optimise their performance with you on the day. For those unsuccessful we will give them feedback using our SCALE feedback model. This is not at your expense – it reflects our commitment to the wider HE field, but will also reflect positively on your organisation.
